My ethos in life is connection: connecting with people and nurturing those connections. It’s the reason I chose to live in the small beachside town of Whaingaroa (Raglan) 23 years ago and be part of the loving community here. It’s here I met my husband and we have created our family; two beautiful girls and four loved pets.
Professionally, connection with people has been a driving force in my studies and career. I began working as a registered nurse 24 years ago, and 10 years later began teaching yoga and meditation. Cofounding a yoga/ pilates studio in Raglan, and also studying as a massage therapist. All of these skills and experiences have lead me to my journey studying Somatics, including; Somatic Psychology, Somatic Stress Release, Integrative Somatic Trauma Certification, evidence based emotional freedom technique (EFT).
I have witnessed in myself and others the power of Somatic Stress Release. These experiences lead me through a natural progression from full time nursing to coaching others in Somatic Stress Release.
I consciously create an environment for meeting, connection, exploration and play in my sessions. Being and moving in a way that honours and encourages clients to mindfully flow, breathe and build strength. This increases client’s capacity and adaptability in a safe and intuitive way.
